FORT EDWARD, NY — An inmate at the Washington County Jail was arrested on a felony charge after authorities say he possessed controlled substances inside the facility.
Justin J. Hurlburt, 22, of Fort Edward, New York, was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a class D felony, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
An investigation determined that Hurlburt possessed the contraband at the jail on June 16, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Hurlburt was arraigned and is currently lodged at the Washington County Jail.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court at a later date.
