KENDUSKEAG, ME — A 3-year-old boy remained in critical condition at a Boston-area hospital after being run over by a riding lawn tractor on private property Thursday evening.
The Penobscot County Regional Communications Center received a report of the accident at approximately 6 p.m. May 28.
A deputy from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and local firefighters responded to the scene and initiated lifesaving measures.
The child was transported to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, where medical personnel stabilized him before he was flown by LifeFlight to a Boston-area hospital.
The sheriff’s office did not release additional details about the accident.
