POWNAL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 54-year-old man on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and stalking.
Gary T. Hall, of Pownal, was taken into custody May 30 without incident after an investigation into a possible violation of an abuse prevention order.
Police said they were notified May 28 at approximately 10 a.m. of the possible violation.
Investigators determined Hall had violated an abuse prevention order, stalked a protected party and violated his conditions of release twice, according to police.
Troopers met with Hall May 30 and transported him to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.
Hall was released and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on June 1, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
