Man charged with retail theft in Warrington

WARRINGTON, PA — Police have charged a man in connection with a shoplifting incident at Walmart in May.

Dikang Zhao, 23, of Philadelphia, is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

On May 6, Warrington Police responded to Walmart at 299 Valley Gate Drive for a report of retail theft.

Loss prevention staff told police a man selected four boxes of Legos valued at $264.89 and placed them inside an empty mattress topper box valued at $26.48.

The man then proceeded to checkout and paid only for the mattress topper using his debit card, according to police.

Police identified the suspect as Zhao.

On June 9, Zhao turned himself in to police, where he was processed and released.
