ROXBURY, MA — Detectives have arrested a Dorchester man in connection with a robbery and assault that occurred in Roxbury on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
At approximately 4:41 p.m. that day, officers from District B-2 responded to a radio call for a robbery in progress on Washington Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who reported being approached by two suspects near a business on Washington Street.
The victim stated that the suspects followed her and physically assaulted her, during which her iPhone was forcibly taken from her possession.
Through investigative techniques and specialized knowledge of the Roxbury area, detectives identified the suspect’s nickname, physical description, and a vehicle associated with him.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, with assistance from Boston Housing Police, located and arrested Keith Woods Jr., 37, of Dorchester, at an address on Washington Street in Roxbury.
Woods was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Roxbury District Court.
The warrant charges Woods with armed robbery, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery to collect a loan, and assault and battery.
The investigation into a second suspect remains active and ongoing.
