BRISTOL, CT — A man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from police and crashing his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Officers with the Bristol Police Department attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop during the early morning hours of June 11 when the driver attempted to elude them, according to police.
The driver, Jay Dick, of Connecticut, crashed his vehicle and was taken into custody.
During his arrest, officers found over 500 bags of fentanyl, 87 MDMA pills, various prescription narcotics, a handgun, a facsimile firearm, over 200 rounds of ammunition and illegal fireworks, police said.
Dick was charged with operation of a drug factory, 11 counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm or ammunition, illegal transfer or purchase of a pistol, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and illegal possession of fireworks.
He also faces charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of a registration plate, no insurance, operating with a suspended license, failure to display lights and engaging police in pursuit.
Dick is on special parole and was remanded into their custody.
