HIGHLAND, NY — Town of Lloyd police reported four recent arrests in Highland, including two aggravated driving while intoxicated charges, a criminal trespass charge and an arrest on a bench warrant.
Shuron T. Sweat, 45, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested June 3 and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Route 299 in Highland.
Sweat was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Lloyd Court on June 18, 2026.
Michael A. Bruni-Smith, 23, of Beacon, was arrested June 7 and charged with second-degree criminal trespass after police said he was involved in a domestic dispute in Highland.
Bruni-Smith was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Lloyd Court on July 7, 2026.
Robert L. Bonner, 34, of Fulton, was arrested June 4 and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Route 9W in Highland.
Bonner was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Lloyd Court on June 18, 2026.
Paul D. Hayes, 42, of Middletown, was arrested June 3 on a bench warrant charging seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree bail jumping.
Hayes was transported to the Ulster County Jail to await arraignment in Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
