VIRGIL, NY — A tractor-trailer overturned on State Route 392 on June 9, 2026, after the driver misjudged a curve in the roadway.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at approximately 1:30 p.m.
The tractor-trailer had rolled over and the driver was unable to exit the vehicle.
Officers and fire and medical personnel arrived on scene and assisted the driver out of the vehicle.
The driver was confirmed to be uninjured.
The vehicle exited the roadway and rolled onto its side in a ditch.
The roadway was closed to traffic for several hours while the vehicle was removed.
The Virgil Fire Department, New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit and Ron’s Towing assisted at the scene.
