TUPPER LAKE, NY — Members of the New York State Police charged Trevor Kennedy, 32, of Tupper Lake, with Assault in the Third Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Aggravated Family Offense, and Unlawful Imprisonment in the First Degree on June 10, 2026.
State Police received a report of a domestic dispute that had occurred earlier in the day in the village of Tupper Lake at approximately 7:39 p.m. on June 9, 2026.
An investigation determined that Kennedy and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
During the incident, Kennedy allegedly struck the victim multiple times and pinned the victim down on a bed, preventing the victim from leaving the residence.
Kennedy eventually left the residence, allowing the victim to leave and contact law enforcement for assistance.
Kennedy was transported to SP Tupper Lake for processing.
He was arraigned in the Town of Harrietstown Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail.
