Driver arrested on DUI charge in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, VT — A Waterville man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a head-on collision on Vermont Route 108 South on June 9, 2026.

Troopers with the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks responded to the two-vehicle crash at 7508 VT Route 108 South at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Investigation revealed that a 2013 Toyota Corolla operated by Ryan Longe-Judkins, 31, of Waterville, had traveled left of center and crashed head-on into a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R operated by Jessica Aupperlee, 47, of Stowe.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.

The Toyota sustained moderate front-end damage, while the Volkswagen sustained significant front-end damage.

Neither driver was injured.

While speaking with Longe-Judkins, troopers detected indicators of impairment.

He was screened and subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Longe-Judkins was transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing and released with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on June 24, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.

Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Cambridge Rescue and the Cambridge Fire Department.
