3 arrested on drug charges in Absecon

ABSECON, NJ — Three people were arrested on drug charges following a pedestrian stop on U.S. Route 30.

Officers from the Absecon Police Department conducted the pedestrian contact in the area of U.S. Route 30 and Haddon Avenue just before 3 p.m. Monday.

During the investigation, officers determined all three individuals had active arrest warrants.

The individuals were identified as James D. Smith, 45, of Barrington, New Jersey; Tajma D. Felder, 24, of Williamstown, New Jersey; and Brandon T. Survilo, 32, of Essex, Maryland.

Officers recovered suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit currency, two prohibited dagger-style knives, five bundles of suspected heroin wax folds and four additional individual heroin wax folds.

Smith was charged with forged writing, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Felder was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Survilo was processed on multiple outstanding warrants.

All three were transported to the Absecon Police Department for processing and later committed to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending court proceedings.
