EDDINGTON, ME — A man was stabbed in the neck during a robbery early Friday morning, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a reported robbery on Chestnut Lane at approximately 5:30 a.m. June 4.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male had sustained a stab wound to the neck during the incident and had been threatened with a firearm.
The suspects fled the area in a vehicle before deputies arrived and are believed to have left the immediate area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries.
The investigation is being led by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division with assistance from the Maine State Police.
Law enforcement has determined this was an isolated incident, and there is no known danger to the public at this time.
