BROCKPORT, NY — Police arrested a man on weapons and domestic violence charges Thursday following the execution of a search warrant.
The Village of Brockport Police Department responded to a Fair Street address in the afternoon hours of June 4, 2026, to execute a search warrant that was the culmination of a domestic violence investigation.
During the search, patrols with the assistance of Brockport Police Nitrate K9 “Sammy” located a loaded handgun.
The handgun has a threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
Also located were various calibers of ammunition and high-capacity magazines.
Willie D. Johnston Jr., 18, of Brockport, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony, menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Johnston was taken before centralized arraignment court where he was remanded to Monroe County Jail on $10,000 bail or $30,000 bond.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies assisted in maintaining a perimeter of the location.
