ALLENTOWN, PA — A 31-year-old woman has been arrested following a stabbing that left a 47-year-old woman injured.
Allentown Police personnel and EMS responded to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of Union Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Responding officers located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening, and she is expected to survive.
The victim provided responding officers with a description of the suspect.
Officers conducted a localized search and successfully located the suspect a short time later.
The suspect was discovered hiding in a nearby wooded area and was taken into custody without further incident.
Cara Stout-Vaxter, 31, who has no current address, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
