CRAFTSBURY, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Wildbranch Road on May 30, 2026, at 6:44 p.m.
The operator was identified as Tyler Friend, 23, of Wolcott.
Friend was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police.
The 2007 Saturn Ion sustained damage to the front and rear ends.
Friend displayed indicators of impairment and was processed for DUI at Copley Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Friend was later released on a citation to appear in court.
Weather conditions were clear and sunny, and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
