WILTON, CT — Police are investigating a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins that occurred May 28, 2026.
A Wilton officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Danbury Road at approximately 4:15 a.m., but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.
Officers responded to the Wilton residence where the vehicle was registered and learned it had been stolen.
Later that morning, dispatch received multiple reports of motor vehicle break-ins and attempted break-ins in the areas of Olmstead Hill Road and Skunk Lane.
A vehicle stolen from Hamden was recovered on Millstone Road that evening and is believed to be related to the incidents.
The investigation remains active.
