Two arrested on drug charges in Olean

OLEAN, NY — Police arrested two men on felony drug charges after executing a search warrant at 109 W. Green St. on May 26.

The warrant was served at approximately 10 p.m. at the lower left apartment in response to several complaints regarding drug activity over a lengthy period of time.

The Emergency Response Team made entry and encountered two males inside the residence.

Thomas Washington, 37, with no permanent address, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, for possessing fentanyl.

Anthony Sledge-Pearson, 27, also known as “Rome,” of Olean, was also arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree for possessing fentanyl.

Other drug-related items and cash were seized inside the residence by investigators.

Outside the apartment building, police encountered Micah Hicks, 41, also known as “Nephew,” of Olean, who was arrested on an outstanding indictment warrant.

Hicks was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree for selling fentanyl, and criminal nuisance.

The Street Crimes Unit was assisted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office.

The property is owned by Muhammad Jehangir of Mepcon Holding LLC.
