ALBURG, VT — A man was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Route 2 South.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to the crash at approximately 7:44 p.m. on May 28, 2026.
At the scene, troopers identified the operator as William Mudgett, 36, of Alburg.
While speaking with Mudgett, he demonstrated signs of impairment, police said.
After an investigation, Mudgett was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
Mudgett was transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
He was issued a citation to appear in Grand Isle County Criminal Court on June 4, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
