E-bike rider injured in collision in Medford Township

MEDFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — An 11-year-old boy was injured after colliding with a vehicle while riding an E-bike near Haines School on May 29, 2026.

Medford Township Police and Medford EMS responded to the area of the school, located at 162 Stokes Road, at 7:30 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on an E-bike.

The juvenile was treated at the scene for minor injuries and transported to a hospital as a precaution.

Police said the preliminary investigation determined the juvenile was operating the E-bike northbound on Stokes Road against the flow of traffic in the bicycle travel lane.

The juvenile attempted to enter the exit-only driveway of Haines School and collided with the front bumper of a vehicle operated by a 43-year-old man from Medford.

The accident remains under investigation by the Medford Township Police Department.
