CAIRO, NY — Three men were arrested following a fight in a McDonald’s parking lot on Route 32 on May 26, 2026.
State Police from Catskill responded to a report of a fight in progress at approximately 4:59 p.m.
The investigation revealed that Michael W. Martin, 31, of Durham; Joseph Holloway, 34, of Cairo; and Cody Holloway, 29, of Cairo, approached a 43-year-old male victim and a 35-year-old female victim in the parking lot.
A physical altercation ensued during which various weapons, including a bat, metal pipe and hammer, were displayed and used to strike the victims, police said.
The two victims were evaluated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and refused further medical treatment.
Martin, Joseph Holloway and Cody Holloway were arrested and transported to State Police Catskill for processing.
Joseph Holloway was charged with menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor; and assault in the second degree, a class D felony.
He was arraigned at Cairo Town Court with bail set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond or $100,000 partially secured bond.
Martin was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor; and two counts of menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned at Cairo Town Court with bail set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond or $100,000 partially secured bond.
Cody Holloway was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; assault in the second degree, a class D felony; menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned at Cairo Town Court with bail set at $50,000 cash, $150,000 bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.
All three are due back in Cairo Town Court on May 29, 2026, at 10 a.m.
