WHITEHALL, NY — A 20-year-old man faces rape and child pornography charges following an investigation into sexual conduct involving a minor.
Lance M. Graves, of Whitehall, was arrested Tuesday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation, conducted in coordination with Washington County Child Protective Services, determined that Graves had sexual relations with a victim who was 15 years of age or younger, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
The investigation also revealed that Graves was in possession of an electronic recording of a sexual performance involving a child.
Graves was charged with two counts of rape in the second degree, a class B felony under New York State Penal Law, and one count of possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
He was arraigned through Centralized Arraignment and released on his own recognizance.
Graves is scheduled to appear in the Town of Whitehall Court at a later date.
