HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured Monday.
Hartford Police officers responded to the area of 175 Nelson Street following a ShotSpotter notification.
While officers were investigating, it was learned that a gunshot victim was being transported to an area hospital by private vehicle.
The victim, a female in her thirties, sustained a single gunshot wound and was alert and conscious upon arrival at the hospital.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and have assumed the investigation.
