HOLYOKE, MA — Holyoke police officers helped a suicidal man early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., Officer Samuel Rodriguez was dispatched to Community Field for a report of a person in crisis.
Sergeants James Dunn, Michael Everett and Officer Jabet Lopez arrived to assist.
Officers located an adult male in crisis who had cut himself with a knife and was extremely distraught.
Officers built a rapport with the subject and recovered the knife.
Officers asked how they could help, provided medical services and assisted the subject to the hospital.
