Man arrested on warrant in Wickford

WICKFORD, RI — A Kingston man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Tuesday afternoon following a traffic stop.

Zong Dong Zhu, 48, of Kingston, was taken into custody at 4:40 p.m. on Route 1 in Warwick.

Zhu was wanted on a Kent County Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.

The original charges include four counts of large capacity feeding devices prohibited, possession of motor vehicle or part with altered identification number, forgery and counterfeiting, conspiracy to commit offense outside state – felony greater than 5 years, and possession of stolen vehicle – first offense.

The charges originated from the State Police Scituate Barracks.

Zhu was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing.

He was later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
