Man arrested on burglary charges in Milton

MILTON, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office received a trespassing complaint on May 5, 2026, at 10:14 a.m. on Galway Road in the town of Milton.

Investigation into the matter led to the arrest Thursday of Joshua A. Hoyt, 38, of Milton for two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree, class C felonies.

Hoyt is accused of knowingly entering and remaining unlawfully within a dwelling on Galway Road on April 21, 2026, and again on May 4, 2026.

He allegedly stole alcohol and money from the residence.

Hoyt was arraigned before the Honorable Steven L. Brown in the Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in that court.
