PAWTUCKET, RI — State Police arrested four people on various charges, including a man wanted on a domestic violence warrant.
At 2:18 p.m., troopers arrested Jorge Paz, 28, of Pawtucket, for a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of domestic violence – simple assault, originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Belmont Street.
Paz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Service Center.
At 3:31 p.m., troopers arrested Celibeth Mercedes Minaya, 18, of Providence, for duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to a vehicle.
This arrest was the result of troopers responding to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident and subsequent investigation.
Mercedes Minaya turned herself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
At 10:23 p.m., troopers arrested Jose L. Cac Castro, 42, of Providence, for driving under the influence of liquor – BAC unknown – first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into a motor vehicle crash on Union Avenue.
Cac Castro was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
At 2:09 a.m., troopers arrested Victor M. Santos Corales, 50, of Providence, for driving under the influence of liquor – BAC unknown – first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Camden Avenue.
Santos Corales was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
