WEST OSSIPEE, NH — A Tamworth man is facing multiple charges after a pursuit in Ossipee.
Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, New Hampshire State Police Trooper Caleb Savard of the Troop E barracks attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing a vehicle that failed to display license plates on Route 16 northbound in Ossipee.
Trooper Savard activated his emergency lights and sirens; however, the driver did not stop and instead increased speed, traveling on Route 41 and Ossipee Lake Road.
The brief pursuit concluded when the driver went down a dead-end road and surrendered, where he was taken into custody.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the pursuit was identified as Brian Carson, 53, of Tamworth.
Carson has been charged with driving after suspension for DUI, suspended registration, disobeying an officer, and failure to display plates.
He was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Ossipee District Court on July 8, 2026.
