Man arrested after hit-and-run crash in Bow

BOW, NH — A man was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash and falsely reporting his vehicle had been stolen.

The Bow Police Department responded to the intersection of Crescent Drive and South Bow Road at 9:15 a.m. Monday for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

The caller informed responding officers that someone had stolen his vehicle and crashed it.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the caller was actually the driver of the vehicle and had fled the scene on foot prior to officers arriving.

The suspect was identified as Shawn McComiskey, 23, of Goffstown.

McComiskey was located on foot by a Hooksett police officer and New Hampshire State trooper who were providing a perimeter after a state police K9 was deployed.

McComiskey was charged with conduct after an accident, false report to law enforcement and operating after suspension subsequent offense.

McComiskey was out on bail for a previous crime at the time of this offense and was held without bail pending arraignment Tuesday in Concord District Court.
