MALTA, NY — A Saratoga Springs man was arrested on a drug-impaired driving charge after being found slumped over the steering wheel at a stop sign Wednesday night.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to Northline Road at 11:05 p.m. for a report of a male slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle at a stop sign.
Nicholas A. Volpe, 40, of Saratoga Springs, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor.
Volpe is accused of operating a motor vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by the use of a drug.
He was also charged with parking upon the paved part of a highway, an infraction.
Volpe was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Malta Town Court.
