HADLEY, NY — A 29-year-old man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge following a single-vehicle crash that knocked down two utility poles.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash at 11:49 p.m. May 14 on state Route 9N in the vicinity of Adirondack Road.
McKenzie M. Pulver, of Hadley, was allegedly operating a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado while intoxicated when the vehicle left the roadway on the west side of the southbound lane.
The vehicle struck two utility poles and a mailbox before rolling over and coming to rest in the front yard of a private residence.
The utility poles suffered significant damage including downed wires.
Pulver was transported by Rockwell Falls EMS to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
He was charged with DWI, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to keep right, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway, refusal to take a prescreen breath test at the request of a police officer, no seat belt and failing to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change.
Pulver was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Hadley Town Court.
No other people or vehicles were involved.
