PITTSBURGH, PA — Special Victims and Violent Crime Unit detectives arrested a man overnight in connection with a May 21 burglary and sexual assault in the Oakland neighborhood.
Charles Wilis, 29, of Pittsburgh, was identified and located through investigative techniques, according to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
Wilis was detained and taken to police headquarters for an interview.
He was arrested on a warrant after confessing to the crime, police said.
The incident occurred in the 3400 block of Parkview Avenue.
Wilis was charged with burglary, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, loitering and prowling at nighttime, and harassment.
He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
