EAST MONTPELIER, VT — Vermont State Police cited a man on trespassing and DUI charges following a reported verbal altercation on May 21, 2026.
Troopers responded to a report of a verbal altercation on Kelton Road at 4:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers observed John Cook, 47, of East Montpelier, trespassing at the location.
While speaking with Cook, troopers detected indicators of impairment and learned that Cook had driven to the location.
Cook was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
He was released with a citation to answer to charges of unlawful trespass and driving under the influence.
