RAYMOND, VT — A Texas man was arrested Wednesday on a fugitive warrant after a deputy conducted a traffic stop at a convenience store.
Deputy Furey was patrolling the area when he observed a rental vehicle in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy noticed the operator acting in a suspicious manner and conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.
After identifying the driver, Deputy Furey discovered the operator had a nationwide extraditable warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm.
Olusesi Moustapha, of Texas, was placed under arrest and transported to the Rockingham County Jail.
Moustapha was charged with fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition to Texas.
