BOSTON, MA — A Roxbury woman was arrested Monday evening following a drug investigation in the Nubian Square area.
Alicia Mitchell, 45, of Roxbury, was taken into custody at approximately 5:30 p.m. May 18 in the area of 2371 Washington Street.
Members of the Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team observed an apparent drug transaction between Mitchell and another individual, according to police.
The individual involved in the transaction was issued a summons to appear in Roxbury District Court on a charge of possession of Class B drugs.
Officers approached Mitchell near the Nubian Square Bus Station, where she was arrested.
During the booking process, officers recovered 25 small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be crack cocaine and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Mitchell is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs, possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs subsequent offense, and distribution of Class B drugs.
