LAWRENCE, MA — Police are investigating an altercation in the South Union Street area involving several juveniles and two adult males that was captured on video and circulated on social media.
The incident began following an interaction initiated by one of the adult males, which escalated into a confrontation with the group of juveniles, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
Officers responded to the area shortly after receiving reports of the disturbance, but the individuals involved had dispersed prior to police arrival.
The adult involved declined to cooperate with investigators at that time.
Police later returned to the area after receiving additional reports that individuals had come back to continue the disturbance.
During the second response, two juveniles were taken into custody on charges unrelated to the original altercation.
