RUTLAND TOWN, VT — A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of US Route 7 and Windcrest Road on May 19, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of the crash at approximately 12:42 p.m.
Ashley Daniels, 32, of Middletown Springs, was operating a 2018 Ford Escape traveling south on US Route 7, intending to turn left onto Windcrest Road.
Magnus Munro, 20, of Floral Park, New York, was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on US Route 7.
Daniels turned left in front of Munro’s vehicle, causing the collision.
Daniels sustained minor injuries and was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Munro reported no injuries.
Daniels’ vehicle sustained substantial damage, while Munro’s vehicle sustained minor damage.
Both operators were wearing seat belts.
Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
