Motorcyclist injured in crash in Pittsford

PITTSFORD, VT — A 19-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 7 on May 18, 2026.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the crash at approximately 8:08 a.m. near Old Colony Way.

Police said Dalton Tanner, 19, of Whiting, was operating a 2003 Suzuki VL800K motorcycle when he collided with a 2018 Honda Pilot operated by Monique Monette, 52, of Rochester.

Tanner sustained a severe left leg injury and was transported to Rutland Region Medical Center.

Tanner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Monette was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The Honda Pilot sustained minor rear-end damage.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

Regional Ambulance and Pittsford Fire Department assisted at the scene.
