PENN YAN, NY — A man was arrested following bench and arrest warrants issued by local courts.
Robert T. Sherlock, 58, of East Syracuse was taken into custody on multiple charges including criminal contempt in the first degree and aggravated family offense.
The Onondaga Sheriff’s Department notified Penn Yan Police on May 7, 2026, that they had Sherlock in custody and transported him to the Police Department.
The bench warrant was issued by Penn Yan Village Court and the arrest warrant was issued by Yates County Court.
Sherlock was processed and transported to the Yates County Jail to await CAP Court.
