WARRINGTON, PA — Police arrested a Bristol man April 30 after he allegedly attempted to pass counterfeit bills at a local business.

Andy Ruben Rodriguez Anzules, 24, of Bristol, was taken into custody at Sparta, 1233 Easton Road, after employees reported he used fake currency to make purchases.

Police said Rodriguez Anzules initially bought an item using a counterfeit $20 bill.

He returned to the store a short time later and attempted to use another counterfeit $20, according to police.

Store employees confronted Rodriguez Anzules and recovered four additional counterfeit bills, police said.

The fake bills were marked “Motion Picture Purposes” on both sides, according to police.

Officers searching Rodriguez Anzules after his arrest found another counterfeit bill in his wallet, police said.

Rodriguez Anzules was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $20,000 or 10 percent cash.

He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Rodriguez Anzules was charged with forgery and possessing instruments of crime.
