Firefighter injured battling blaze in Hamilton Township

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A firefighter sustained a non-life-threatening injury while battling a structure fire on May 14, 2026.

The Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to the 6000 block of Estelle Avenue at approximately 11:16 a.m. for a report of a structure fire.

All occupants were evacuated prior to police arrival.

Fire personnel on scene reported a working structure fire.

Mays Landing, Laureldale, Milmay, and Richland fire departments all responded and extinguished the fire.

The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad also responded to assist.

The occupants were displaced from the residence and the American Red Cross responded to the scene.

No residents were injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
