LAURENS, NY — A 22-year-old man was arrested following a domestic dispute involving a firearm on May 10, 2026.
Jordan S. Kratochvil, of Laurens, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, assault in the third degree and menacing in the third degree.
Deputies with the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a physical domestic dispute in the town of Laurens.
Through their investigation, deputies determined Kratochvil struck a female victim multiple times in the head while an 8-month-old child was present.
Kratochvil unlawfully locked the victims inside their residence and threatened to use a loaded semi-automatic rifle against them and others, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kratochvil surrendered himself to deputies and was arrested.
He was processed and turned over to Otsego County Corrections pending centralized arraignment in Laurens Town Court.
