Two arrested on drug charges in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — Detectives with the HIDTA Task Force arrested two men on drug-related charges on May 14, 2026.

John Courtemanche, 38, of Johnston, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver one ounce to one kilogram of a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine and possession with the intent to deliver a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine.

Courtemanche was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Third District Court.

Julien Vasquez, 33, of Providence, was also arrested on May 14, 2026.

Vasquez was charged with possession with the intent to deliver one ounce to one kilogram of a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver a schedule II controlled substance – cocaine, possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited and two counts of large-capacity feeding devices prohibited.

Vasquez was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing and special arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was then turned over to officials at the ACI Intake Center pending his morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.
