ALLENTOWN, PA — Allentown Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a McDonald’s restaurant on Union Boulevard.
Officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 1321 Union Boulevard at approximately 9:10 p.m. Friday for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound and rendered lifesaving first aid.
The victim was transported to an area hospital by Allentown EMS and is being treated for his injuries.
The victim is expected to survive.
Initial investigation conducted by the Allentown Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigations Division determined that the incident was precipitated by a disturbance, where several gunshots were fired.
A firearm used in the incident has been recovered.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
