Drugs, firearms seized in Constableville

CONSTABLEVILLE, NY — Members of the New York State Police in Lowville and the Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, along with members of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant May 14 at a residence on West Street in the village of Constableville.

During the search, investigators seized about 52 grams of methamphetamine, 9 grams of cocaine, 11 firearms, including a privately manufactured ghost gun pistol, an AR-style weapon and multiple high-capacity magazines.

As a result of the investigation, Jennifer Orona, 43, of Constableville, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotic drug with intent to sell, a class B felony.

She also was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Additional charges included fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotic drug, a class C felony.

She was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a class C felony.

Orona was further charged with third-degree criminal possession of an assault weapon, assault weapon, a class D felony.

She also was charged with third-degree criminal possession of an assault weapon, high-capacity ammunition feeding device, a class D felony.

Additional charges included criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony.

She also was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a ghost gun, a class A misdemeanor.

Orona was arraigned in New Bremen Town Court and released on $100 bail.
