OSWEGO, NY — A vehicle pursuit began at about 10:03 a.m. Friday at the Oswego County Public Safety Center after a vehicle was seen driving suspiciously through the Corrections Officers’ parking lot while making threatening remarks, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities said law enforcement officers witnessed several traffic violations as the vehicle left the area.
The sheriff’s office said the incident happened before children and legislators arrived for Government Day and was unrelated to that event.
The vehicle was stopped on State Route 104 in the town of New Haven, authorities said.
A loaded weapon was found in the vehicle, and the driver was taken into custody, according to the sheriff’s office.
