Man arrested on stolen property charge in Newark Valley

NEWARK VALLEY, NY — New York State Police arrested a man May 11 after he was found in possession of a stolen E-bike.

Anthony L. Tomasky, 25, of Newark Valley, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony.

The E-bike was reported stolen from a residence in the town of Maine sometime between the evening hours of May 7 and the evening hours of May 8.

Investigators charged Tomasky after someone reported to the owner of the E-bike that they saw it being operated on Miller Road in Newark Valley.

The E-bike was observed from the roadway in a shed on Tomasky’s property.

Troopers located Tomasky hiding under his deck and arrested him.

Tomasky was processed at State Police Endwell and transported to the Tioga County Jail for centralized arraignment and processing.
