Man arrested on larceny charges in Wilton

WILTON, NY — State Police arrested a New York City man on grand larceny charges following an investigation into a phone scam targeting an elderly Saratoga County resident.

Roger K. Flemming, 29, of Queens, was arrested May 7, 2026, and charged with Grand Larceny 3rd and Attempted Grand Larceny 3rd.

Troopers received a complaint May 6, 2026, from an elderly Saratoga County resident who reported being the victim of a scam.

The investigation determined the victim had been contacted by phone and told that a family member had been arrested following a vehicle collision and needed money for bail.

Flemming allegedly traveled to the victim’s home May 6, 2026, where he collected more than $3,000 cash related to the scam.

Flemming then returned to the victim’s home May 7, 2026, to attempt to collect additional cash related to the scam.

Flemming was arrested and transported to State Police Wilton for processing.

He was arraigned at Wilton Town Court, where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
