PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on domestic and driving charges following a traffic stop Saturday night.
Dewon Northup, 30, of Providence, was taken into custody at 8:38 p.m. on Route 6.
He was charged with domestic violation of no contact order, first offense, and driving after suspension of license, fourth or subsequent offense.
Northup was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing.
He was held pending arraignment at Sixth Division District Court, where he will be presented as a bail and probation violator.
