Drug possession arrests in Wilton

WILTON, NY — State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested Jahlil S. Lincoln, 32, of Philadelphia, and Mercedes D. Simon Fulmore, 30, of Brooklyn, following a traffic stop on Interstate 87 on May 12, authorities said.

Troopers stopped a vehicle operated by Lincoln at about 3:29 a.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation, police said.

Simon Fulmore was identified as the passenger during the stop, according to police.

During the investigation, troopers discovered and seized felony-weight narcotics from inside the vehicle, police said.

Lincoln was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, and vehicle and traffic law violations, according to State Police.

Simon Fulmore was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, police said.

Lincoln and Simon Fulmore were transported to State Police in Wilton for processing, authorities said.

During processing, Lincoln was found to have additional narcotics secreted in his body, police said.

Both were arraigned in Wilton Town Court, where Lincoln was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail and Simon Fulmore was released on her own recognizance, according to police.
