GOSHEN, MA — A missing person was located safely Wednesday morning after disappearing from their home earlier in the week, according to police.
The Goshen Police Department was notified Tuesday evening, May 12, 2026, that a resident had gone missing.
The person was last seen Monday afternoon, May 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. when they left their home by car without a cell phone.
Family and friends had no contact with the person for more than 24 hours before reporting them missing.
Officers responded to the residence Tuesday evening and took a statement from the person’s spouse.
A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued to police departments in Hampshire and Franklin counties for the vehicle the person was driving.
Officers contacted potential retail locations where the resident may have gone and canvased local hospitals Tuesday evening.
Police also contacted the Holyoke Police Department, Holyoke Mall Security, Northampton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.
By early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026, there was still no contact with the missing person.
Goshen officers contacted the Massachusetts Fusion Center to issue a Silver Alert, a rapid public notification system used to locate missing, at-risk individuals.
Information about the person was being uploaded into the National Crime Information Center database as a missing person when the individual was located.
